About the studio

A one-woman show

Studio Bean is a Seattle jewelry studio founded in 2024 by designer Nicole Bean. Trained as a fine artist with a BFA specializing in sculpture and glassblowing, Nicole taught herself the ancient craft of lost-wax casting. Her first piece was her own engagement ring, made from her inherited grandmother’s wedding ring. That first piece spiraled into what Studio Bean is today.

Rejecting the constraints of traditional jewelry design, she brings a modern, gender-neutral and timeless sensibility to every piece, often reinterpreting classic forms with a contemporary twist. She is heavily inspired by brutalist and art deco architecture. Each design is a small vessel of observation - shape, color and material, translated into something you can wear.

Everything is made to order from solid recycled sterling silver and is also available on request in 10k, 14k, 18k and 22k gold and platinum and accented with carefully sourced stones. My goal is simple: pieces you’ll wear for a lifetime.
